About the event
The Tollgate-Wyndham Preserve is a 7-acre riparian forest in Owings-Mills conserved by Neighborspace of Baltimore County since 2006. This site features a mix of mature hardwoods and spicebush swamp. The meandering trails, diverse vegetation, and location of this site give this under-birded location real potential as a migrant trap! On this trip you can expect to see a variety of resident and migratory songbirds, resident Red-shouldered Hawks, a wide variety of naturally occurring native plants, and view ongoing restoration efforts. Walking for this trip will total about 0.25 miles on trails with slight to moderate grade. There will be opportunities to sit. Trip limited to 15 participants.
