Volz Neighborhood Park is a 16-acre riparian forest in Middle River conserved by Neighborspace of Baltimore County since 2007. So far in 2026, roughly 70 species have been seen at this beautiful and under-birded park which has yet to be established as an ebird hotspot.

Volz Neighborhood Park is a 16-acre riparian forest in Middle River conserved by Neighborspace of Baltimore County since 2007. So far in 2026, roughly 70 species have been seen at this beautiful and under-birded park which has yet to be established as an ebird hotspot, so we need your help adding checklists! Volz Neighborhood Park features mature hardwoods, and a healthy understory of spicebush, blueberry, sweet pepperbush, various ferns and many others. On this trip you can expect to see a variety of resident and migratory songbirds, resident Red-shouldered Hawks, and a wide variety of native plants. Walking for this trip will total about 0.4 miles on flat trails. Trip limited to 15 participants.
